symbols are just tools of focus. If you insist on getting one as a tattoo, I would use the rune symbol called "elliza." As for having many charms see my first statement. Amulets and talismans are nice but really unnecessary. You can always purchase a wand then consecrate it with your own energy and such. Like the Amulets and other items they are just tools, you are the one who wield the power. If you want a good set of beginners books get the ones written by Scott Cunningham. He puts it in a down to earth easy to understand language. Not sure about the elf cross though. And also, thank you for standing up for us and magic. (I don't add the K to magic because to me that is an elitists way of doing things.)
